Having celebrated my birthday some days back and as I promised on my Facebook page, today's series will deal directly with the problem of finding where you fit in life as it is known that most of us live life without knowing our reason for existence.
I shared this with the students at my workplace and I am very confident that my readers would love to know where they fit in life.
Have you ever played a game called 'Sudoku' ? It is an interesting brainteaser game that you put figures into little boxes to make the whole box filled with relevant figures. It actually took me a long period of time to understand how to play the game and when I did knew how to play it, I found it interesting and awesome.
In playing the game, two sets of numbers cannot exist in a row and a column and also in the section o the whole box. What a perfect game that will help me analyze to you how to know where you fit in life.
The same thing that goes for sudoku goes for life. Each and every homosapien has a place where they fit. I have a place where I fit so do you have yours and without each and every one of us occupying where we fit, just like a sudoku game with no figures in it, life is irrelevant.
We are all created extraordinarily and we are all unique in our living. Our differences uplift our uniqueness. The same way my fingerprint is quite different from yours and every other human being in the world so also is your eyeball different from mine and other people in the planet.
It is tragic these days that most people die without knowing their reason for existence and even before they die, they lived a life of mediocrity, which is not the best of the life we always want to live. For us in this present generation, it will be a good thing to know where we fit so as not to be wandering all around without even knowing what life has in store for us for good.
To make this simple and straight, I will share with you Four Keys to knowing where you fit in life and they are.....
1. Enthusiasm.
It is necessary to know the things you are enthusiastic about, things you have zeal and glowing passion for. Those things consume the total you and they are the things you live for, without them you are nothing and with them you are an extraordinary thing. Understand what your passions are, what your interests are in and what you always love to do. For instance, as a person my passion goes deeply into Speaking, Writing, Counselling, Impacting lives for good and lots more. These things consume the whole me and whenever I am called on to render services in those areas, passion towards those giftings and talents consume me. Find your passions and what you are enthusiastic about.
2. Effectiveness.
Different people have different places they are effective in. Know the areas you are effective in. For instance, Politics, Justice, Music, Speaking, Writing, Counselling, and lots more. You need to basically search within you to know the things you are effective in.
3. Enjoyment.
What do you enjoy doing without stopping ? What are the things you can do for many hours that you always have a sense of fulfillment ? Do you enjoy singing, speaking, writing, taking pictures, exploring computers, spreading the gospel, counselling and encouraging people around you, among others?
Know what you always enjoy but note that I am talking about positive and glorifying enjoyments.
4. Exasperation.
What do you constantly get angry on ? Are you a kind of person that hate something irritating around you ? We all have one or two things we always get angry of about happenings around our environment and those things can make us loose our grips and gird our loins to fight them if we can. Could it be that what you hate is serving as a pointer to finding where you fit ?
As a person, I hate it when I see someone living a life of mediocrity, a life that is not glorifying the universe and this is actually what is driving me to making things work out around me. Assess yourself and put down those things you always feel irritated of.
Afterthoughts
Like I pinpointed earlier, a sudoku game without accurate figures in it is an irrelevant game and if you do not want life to be irrelevant as a sudoku game, you need to know where you fit. If I know where I fit and you know where you fit and every other beings know where they fit in this world, then and only then can the world be great again.
Find your place in life and help others around you to discover where they fit.
Changing the world is a collective responsibility and we have to do it the right way by knowing where we are to play our roles.
It will take you a lot of time to think deeply on the above keys I shared with you. Do yourself a favour by assessing yourself very well so as not to assume wrong things for yourself.
Also, in knowing where you fit, you need some good friends around you that can help you analyze the things you are good at. Also, do not forget to connect with God through his Spirit to get the relevant answers to your questions.
