InspirationFriday: Handling Rejection Successfully

At a point in our life, we get rejected for a thing that we wanted so badly and we tend to think that it is all over. Apparently, you get rejected for a relationship you so much wanted or for an admission to a college or for a job, among others.
Most times, it is hard to get it off the mind and if it cannot be put off the mind, we tend the get depressed, sad, dejected and worried.
I was rejected for some things that constitute parts of my life recently and it was shocking to me because that was not what I expected since I had the faith that they will fall through. It was not as I have thought it would bebbut thankful for God's grace in my life.
In order to handle rejection successfully, here are the things you have to get into your system...

1. Understand that there are better options that you might not be aware of.

For the fact that you are rejected simply means there are still better options in other places that you are not aware of. Do not give it a thought of weariness, simply seek for those options.

2. Have a positive attitude towards life.

Attitude is everything. If you have the right attitude, you will be able to engage life in an awesome way. I once shared an article about rejection in the previous months. Kindly read through and know how to have the right attitude.

3. Instead of worrying, think of the possible way-out.

When I was rejected for an integral thing that constitute part of my life, I tend not to worry but instantly start to think of the way-out  and it actually helped me to get the right information to move on with life. If you are worried, you will keep worrying till opportunities slip away.

4. Do not look dejected and unhappy. Instead, wear a big smile.

Your countenance should not depict that of someone suffering from a huge blow. Be free, laugh, smile and do not keep yourself in a vacuum of sadness. Wear a big smile and let everyone know that you are happy.

5. Understand that all things are working out together for your good.

The scripture asserts it that "all things are working together for the good of those who love the Lord and those that are called according to his purpose". Understand that all things are working for your good !

6. Understand that that is not the end of your life.

It is never the end of your life. Never think that is the end. There are better opportunities out there that will work out for you. Oprah Winfrey was fired off her job and that made her to set up her own talk show that is now the leading talk show in the world. It is not your end but the beginning of a new dawn.

7. Surround yourself with people that can motivate, inspire and encourage you and not people that will sympathize with you.

Yes. Do not let people sympathize with you but let them motivate and encourage you so as to think your way through.

Afterthoughts

Life in itself is filled with opportunities that we might have not have tapped into. Therefore, instead of having a bad mind, let there be a paradigm shift and feel elevated.

Thanks for reading through. God bless you.
