I was opportuned to watch one of the three United States Presidential Debate where there are two major contestants from separate parties and the debate was a great one with a lot of lessons.
One of the contestants was quoted to have said a lot of words in time past that was now used against him by the other contestant and while watching the debate, I was touched deeply and learnt a lot of lessons that changed my life and I felt it is worth sharing.
Most times we say a lot of words unconsciously because we believe they do not count and we are just saying it for saying sake but the consequences that lies ahead are unimaginable. It is quite understood that it is out of the fullness of the heart, that the mouth speaks. What you have inside your heart will serve as a determinant of what will come out of your mouth.
There are words that you will say that you would not just mean but to people who heard it, it has paint a picture in their heart about who you are and it will be hard and difficult to earn your trust and credibility back to yourself. You are basically aiming towards being the best in any field of your choice and whenever you have decided to reach the top, there are few things that people will have to check about you and one of them is your past statements you have said unconsciously.
If you really want to reach the top and be someone that people can say something well of, you have to watch the content of your words before you say them, check the future consequences, check the weight of your words.
An African proverb asserts "words are like eggs, once spoken they cannot be taken aback". Speak the right words. Speak positive words and you will enjoy the rewards. Be careful of what you say on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, among others.
Zig Ziglar in one of his tapes asserts that "your words are your bound and if you words are not good, you are not good". Say the right things.
