I have come across countless number of people who have shared their testimony of not being an entity that embrace personal development not because it is a hard task to get into but because they do not have the desire to step up their games.

  Many people will tell you they do not like reading motivational books. A friend once told me that "of what use in reading when you are still going to die anyway". Our culture has blindfolded us not to see the treasure that lies in personal development.
  We develop our spiritual life, academic life, social life, relational life but we most times fail in personal development. Developing yourself will broaden your life's understanding and increase your mentality on different views in life.
  Have you wondered why white folks do greater things than we black people do ? It is mainly because they create a system on which life can work for them. They spend more to develop themselves personally and by doing so, they soar high.
  Majority of authors in the United States and other developed nations are national and international best sellers because the people always want to read. Ours here is quite different and this suppose not to be.
Personal development will do the following for you:

Broaden your perspectives on life issues.

Enable you to tackle issues confidently

Inspire you to live a life of purpose.

Organize your life in a proper order.

Make you aspire to reach greater heights.

Improve your life's quality

Make you go ahead of others around you.

Make you think effectively

Make you know how to address issues.

There are many more advantages that lie in personal development.
I once listen to a tape where the speaker said "you cannot pay for the real value of a book. You are just paying for the ink and the paper used because no amount of money can buy what that author has learnt over the years". Majority thinks if they buy a book, they are helping the author make money meanwhile, they really want to help themselves in retrospect.
I sincerely want to inspire you to start developing yourself. Buy many books and read them. Listen to tapes that will build you up. Get as many of them downloaded via the internet. Attend seminars, workshops, conferences, and programmes that are organized to motivate and inspire you.

We always say that "readers are leaders" but the problem is that we cannot have a leader since we do not read, attend seminars, listen to tapes and do all necessary things in order.
  Your life is mainly determined by how much you invest in it. Invest in books, tapes, seminars, webinars, conferences, among others and watch your life moving on a pedestal of success.
