WednesdayNuggets: Getting Along With Your Boss. Series II


Two weeks ago, I shared with us the necessary tips that will help one get along with his or her superior authority at the respective workplace. Today, as I promised, I will continue to help us know more about the topic.

  In many organizations, people are not getting   themselves right because they do not understand the other fellow and since they so not know, there will often be issues all around. The boss is not left out of this. Relating or getting along with your boss takes an effort of which you will pull together in order to wax and stand strong in the organization.
  The following will help you get along with your boss...


• Be ready to be scolded.

Your boss have the liberty to say things to you. Things you do not find pleasing. Your boss has superior authority over you. If he is scolding you, take it with joy. He is only making things work out well for you and the organization.

• Learn from a mistake.

This is your choice. Either to learn and move one or get depressed over your mistakes. People do not love people who have done wrong things and yet won't learn from those wrongs. If you want to get along, learn from your mistakes and move on with your tasks.

• Share your ideas.

It is not enough to communicate with your boss. You need to be ready to share ideas that will impact the organization and even you and your boss.

• Get committed to the job.

Do your work with utmost commitment. Never base your level of commitment of the paycheck. People who do that often are not really effective at work because they are not concerned about the goals but the paycheck. Your level of commitment determines how well you will get along with your boss.

• Never repeat a mistake.

It is OK to make mistakes or do something wrong but making the mistakes repeatedly is where the problem lies. If you have made a mistake earlier, devise another method a task can work in and you will earn credibility with your boss. Do not repeat your mistakes !!!

Afterthought

The best thing in an organization is for the people to get along with themselves as this will hasten the attainment of the aims and targets.
Get your boss along with you and get along with your boss.
