Oh... It's a wonderful sunday here and I trust you had a great encounter at church today. Today, being sunday I want to share with us few words from the scripture of which I believe will bless your lives and also give you a massive breakthrough in your respective living.
Topic: Who in the world can be saved?
Text: Luke 18:26
"And those who heard it said, Then who can be saved?"
Many thousands years ago, there was a certain man who happens to be a rich man. He was seeking for wayout to better life and therefore, came to a master who had disciples. The man was looking for breakthroughs as to how things will be done in his life and how he will attain and be a beneficiary of a Kingdom. The master pinpointed some principles to him of which he couldn't follow fully. This made the disciples asked the master who can be saved? {Luke 18: 18-26}
Virtually everyone on the planet wishes to make heaven. We all want to reign with Jesus on the throne and be on his right hand. The percentage of people who are determined to spend eternity in hell is low compared to those who wishes to be in heaven. But the truth is, as many of us who wishes to be in heaven, we live as those who are hell conscious.
May I tell you today that being saved is a thing of the heart. It will take your heart of commitment to get saved. There are certain things you need to do to be saved as laid down by the word of God...
1. Follow Jesus
The rich man couldn't get saved because he wasn't ready to follow Jesus. In order to get saved, you have to surrender all to Jesus. Let Jesus be your perfect model and your guidance through your life's journey.
Most people do not see reason why they should surrender their lives to Jesus. But I want to let you know today that you can never be saved if you do not allow Jesus into your life. Do not give him part. Give him all!!! Let today be a life changing day and start a new life.
2. Obey The Commandments
A man who has Jesus is a man who does all to follow the commandments given by God. By obeying the commandments, I'm emphasizing on the need to live a godly life. Do not let your past hunt you. Do all to live a godly life.
3. Eliminate all sort of Sin
Sin makes man to lose eternity. If sin is allowed in the life of a man, the man will never amount to anything and guess what, he can't make heaven! Do you want to be saved??? It's time to eliminate sin. If you have peradventure find yourself in one, go back to God. He is ready to hear you out and forgive you. His Grace is sufficient for you. But, make sure sin is not a part of your life.
4. Bear fruits that befit repentance
It is true that you've given your life to Christ but is your life producing fruits that commensurate your repentance? Jesus longs for you to be productive in the new life he has given you. Gal. 5:22&23 expresses more spiritual fruits that befit your repentance and you need to follow it through.
Afterthought
Above are the requirements needed to get saved and to attain eternity. Remember, if there are blemishes in your life, you can't be saved. Eliminate all sort of unrighteousness and live a new life in Christ Jesus!!!
