May I start by saying that it is a great displeasure that virtually most citizens of the world today now adhere to the status quo. Majority of men and women prefer living out in the comfort zone to
breaking out and standing out and this calls for utmost solution because nothing can ever happen in our respective societies if we stay in our comfort zone. Miracle cannot happen in our world if we conform to our normal life or the status quo.
The passage analyzed the story of a paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus for healing but the men who brought him couldn't get to Jesus because of the large crowd but instead of settling with the crowd, they initiated a plan and stood out of the crowd by digging a hole through the roof above Jesus' head. After digging the hole, they lowered the paralyzed man right down in front of Jesus and instantly, Jesus healed the man because he saw the zeal and faith of the four men.
I want to opine that the paralyzed man wasn't the only one in the crowd that is being faced with a particular ailment. There are still many more because wherever Jesus went, the sick were constantly brought by people to be healed. The problem was that they couldn't get to Jesus because of the crowd and this made them to feel cool and relaxed in their comfort zones. Most of them were satisfied because they are not the only ones that couldn't get to Jesus. This is exactly the same way it happens in our present world. Most people can't get their miracles happen but instead of finding new ways to get their miracles, they decide to conform to the status quo and most times they always say "I am not the only one in this after all"
Standing out in life is all a matter of choice. The question is, are you satisfied on the level you are on or you want to break out of your limiting beliefs and be the best you can possibly be?
I want as many people as possible reading this to stand out in their own field and their society and create a path for people to follow by imbibing the following characteristics of the four men in our text...
