"I am a young girl of twenty two I live with my mother who’s married to another man, my father has been going through a deadly illness so he stays in the village, my father’s family allowed my mother to take me along with her when I was just seven years old because my mother promised to put me in school.

  Unfortunately my mother refused to put me in school, I feel so ashamed of myself when I am in the midst of my peers, though I have a handwork. People have been advising me to write the primary six common entrance but I couldn’t succumb to it because I was thinking I cannot do it, but then as at last year I enrolled for an adult lesson and I was really doing well, I told my mother that I wanted to write the common entrance examination but she bluntly refused saying I should be helping her to take care of her newly born twins of which I succumbed to.

  This year I decided to enroll for the common entrance exams and to God be the glory I came out with distinctions. I informed my mother that I want to register into junior secondary school one but she bluntly refused saying she wants to start up a new business and she needs me to take care of the kids, but I disagreed with her this time and then she said I will have to leave her house if am not going to heed to what she’s telling me. The truth is that I don’t have anywhere else to go but then again I really want to go to school.
